Oh noes!!! Good luck with your exams, dearie!!! As for your drawing, I do think you're heading in the right direction. If you need help with realism, you should study photos and people in real life. At least that's what I try to do. Hehe. Anyway, try your best and try not to get too stressed about your exams and stuff.

I totally agree with you about being able to draw realism. I think realism is the foundation and if you don't have a good foundation/background, how will know what to manipulate to turn into your own style? Anyway, with practice I'm sure you'll be able to head towards even more realistic drawings, but I think you're already on your way.

Hehe, I know that feeling of drawing instead of working. I like how when I don't have time, I'm in the mood to draw, yet when I got plenty of time, I get lazy and don't do anything. I hope all's well with you and good luck getting all your work done.

heheh i've always wanted to learn realism... i felt that if i could master realism, i could draw anything i wanted. hmmm oh well. i got get the "cartoony" out of "cartoony realism" out. hehehehe! still, i suppose i am learning new things each time i work a piece... and at least, i think i can safely say that i've grown out of my takahashi manga-style phase (which i love, but got a little tired of!!) i'll have to work more still on adopting a more realistic style haha thanks so much for the encouragement! i'd love to ogle your short storyyy hehe! hope you get it done on time!!

i'm sooo supposed to be doing work... as one can tell by the fact that i'm drawing more than ever. why do i draw more when i'm supposed to be busy on other things?!?! i can never understand this. -_-

It's soooo hard to change one's own style. I want to change my style too but I always ended up doing the same thing. I actually really like your style; it has an interesting mix of cartoony realism. If you want to do softer cg style, try to use thinner lines (I use my pencil sketches a lot) and build the layers up with softer brushes. Since the dominant feature will be the colors, the lines don't matter as much. Well, I don't know what I'm talking about since most of my work is flat coloring. XD

My story is moving along slowly but I'm almost done sketching. I should show you my WIP one of these days. I hope inking/toning won't take too long considering it's due at the end of the month.
